Jon Schleifer’s Biography
It is such a pleasure to be a part of Shining Rock Classical Academy. I’ve been a teacher in North Carolina for the last 17 years, 7 years in Cherokee at Cherokee Elementary, 8 years in Haywood County at North Canton Elementary School, and now my third year at Shining Rock Classical Academy. Most of those years have been in fifth grade.
I was raised in Bethlehem, Pa., then went to college at Texas Lutheran University, near San Antonio. I’m married to my wife, Deanna, and have two children and one grandchild.
